Mom, my 14 yr old twin bro & I sat in the living room of our Balboa Island vacation rental (dad liked westerns & detective genres only) on Sept 8, 1966 & watched the very first (run) Star Trek episode.
Mom became a Spock/Leonard Nimoy fan girl!!!
She even got tickets to see him in a play (Sherlock Holmes in LA) & we briefly met him after. Quiet, thoughtful, kind man was my impression. She named a stray dog she adopted “Tribble” after one of her favorite episodes of ST. He looked like one too till she had him professionally groomed. 🙃
